Pak-It-In_Recycle by Reuse

Postby Pak It In on Wed Oct 28, 2009 8:30 pm

The number of supermarkets charging for carrier bags has increased over the past 12 months and plastic bags and their disposal has been high on the media's agenda & closely watched by environmentalists and more recently government. Although essential to shoppers, carrier bags, rather than being reused, are frequently disposed of after single use and our research shows that consumers have a tendency to forget to take carriers with them often because quite simply, there is no convenient or compact way to carry them.

Our product, Pak-It-In is designed to help with these issues and encourage consumers to recycle by reuse. Pak-It-In is a handy modular pod which is small, convenient and easy to use. Its unique concept allows consumers to decide on the number of bags they want to carry at any one time and to do this in a compact way. The number of bags you take is only limited by the number of pods you connect. Not only does our product have environmental appeal but we have designed in eye catching colours and have colour coordinated bags and pods for consumer appeal. We can very easily custom brand the pods to suit customer requirements and we believe that the style and purpose of the product will have very broad appeal.

We believe that our portable, easy to carry pod can make a significant reduction in the number of plastic bags given out by supermarket and smaller grocery checkouts.

I doubt most consumers would take the time to fold it up and repack it into it's little container.
That's like the sleeves on an umbrella; no one bothers with it.
Once shoppers start using reusable bags (like myself) I just toss them in the back seat
or the trunk for next time. But I wouldn't take the time to stuff it into that small bottle thing.

Pak-It-In: Thank you for your comments and feedback. Although you may put your carrier bags into your trunk, the bags are subject to snagging and tearing with other items in your trunk. The pod is used to protect the bag.

It takes only a few seconds to insert the bag into the pod - this requires very little effort by the consumer. Try it.
